Moto X No Contract

Moto X No Contract

The year of 2013 has been helpful to the once well acclaimed mobile phone manufacturer, Motorola. When Google acquired it quite some time ago, everyone was expecting something big from both of the companies and it seems like they did quite well to gain everyone’s attention with the introduction of Moto X to the market.

After quite a long time, Motorola made this phone in US which for non-US residents might not be a selling point but for many Americans it is. Obviously, there’s always room for improvement but in general Moto X did a good job and gave its message to the competition that the game is not over yet. Let’s give you more details about the phone with a brief review of its specs before we tell you how you can buy a $600 phone on $299 with no contract whatsoever.

Review
The Droid Moto X packs a Dual core 1.7 GHz Krait CPU, while most of the competition has Quad core CPUs but along with the 2 GB Ram and Motorola’s own X8 Mobile Computing System chipset it is quite a snappy phone. On top of that, it comes with the Adreno 302 GPU to make the graphics much crispier. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to add any external memory, but it comes in two variants – 16 GB and 32 GB. So, there won’t be a lot of shortage in memory department.

Its camera department seems pretty strong with primary camera boasting 10 megapixels and it is an auto-focus Clear Pixel camera with 1.4 µm-sized pixels whereas the secondary camera has 2 megapixels and yet capable of capturing FullHD videos. The primary camera can take videos at 1080p HD quality. The display is surely an eye candy, with 4.7” touchscreen display based upon RGB AMOLED and carrying 316ppi you won’t miss any details.

It comes with Android Jellybean 4.2.2 in its stock form, although few of the competitors came out with Jellybean 4.3 but it’s nothing a software upgrade can’t do. It does obviously as expected pack Bluetooth V 4.0, Wi-Fi, microUSB, NFC, GLONASS and even a GPS receiver. 2200 mAh will help you getting through the day but if you’re a heavy user then battery might start dying after 10-12 hours of usage.

The best part of the phone is that you can customize it the way you want on Motorola’s site using their Moto Maker. It surely is a thing many people wanted for quite a long time and Motorola took first step in making history and giving customers more power on the phone they will be buying.

Buying Moto X on No Contract
Earlier we mentioned that you can also get this amazing phone at $299 that too on no contract rather than buying it for $600. There are different plans for that but you won’t be seeing any major cell phone carriers in that area like AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint. This website, Moto X No Contract offers you several plans to get your phone on
  • $5/month (unlimited Wi-Fi talk, text and data but no cell coverage)
  • $10/month (unlimited Wi-Fi talk, text with unlimited cell coverage on talk and text only)
  • $25/month (unlimited Wi-Fi talk, text with unlimited cell coverage on talk, text and 3G data)
  • $40/month (unlimited Wi-Fi talk, text with unlimited cell coverage on talk, text and 4G data)
These plans are certainly great for those who pretty much can’t live without Wi-Fi, Social Networking while depending upon texting and calling when it’s necessary. Moreover, you can save a lot of money and still stay connected with the world wherever you go. So, the phone is itself a sweet device and the plans sort of sugar coats it – you can choose whatever suits your needs best, but it’s definitely worth a shot.
